Jehu's Land Purchase from Capt. John Waddle (Del Rio Tennessee)
In the book "Over The Misty Blue Hills" on page 142 it states that in 1802 Jehu Stokely bought from Captain Waddle a tract of land alongside that which he had entered, about three miles East of Del Rio .
Captain John Waddle received several plats of land from North Carolina for his being a Captain in the Revolutionary War. Two of these (the two smallest) where in Greene County Tennessee (now Cocke County).

This is located on the south side of the French Broad river in Del Rio Tennessee.
